In December of 1996, Ray and Wendy Eaton purchased the assets of a small
printing company located in Fort Scott, Kansas. Among the assets of that
business was a nearly new Vijuk G&K SVA 35 6 x 6 pharmaceutical folder.
Recognizing the value and potential of their new pharmaceutical folder, Ray
and Wendy set out to carve a niche in the graphic arts industry developing a
company which would specialize in the production of pharmaceutical and
miniature folded package inserts.|
In January of 1997, one month after purchasing their new business, Ray and Wendy relocated themselves and their new business to Kansas City. Northcutt Printing was born.
As is the case with most small businesses, this was truly a shoestring start-up. Looking back, Ray and Wendy often laugh at being the living definition of humble beginnings. Their first location in an old strip mall was so tiny that they actually would have to move production equipment to the side to allow skids of paper to be moved from one end of the building to the other. Their shoestring situation would soon change.
During their first year they managed to produce over 12 million inserts. After ten months, they added their second folder, an H&H KL112 6 x 4 miniature folder, to keep up with production. By the end of their second year their business had been successful enough to allow them to move to a larger facility. In February of 1999, they relocated to their current location and continued to grow. By the end of their third year they had added a third miniature folder, their second H&H KL112 with a 6 x 6 configuration.
They have continued to increase sales each year and have just added their fourth miniature folder, a Vijuk G&K V-14 combination folder with a 6 x 6 configuration, vertical stacker and shingle delivery.
Northcutt Printing is currently producing pharmaceutical and miniature folded package inserts for customers throughout the United States. They would be honored to be able to add your company's name to their growing list of satisfied customers.
